We are all uniquely connected
Of course, as a living, breathing, eating human being you have felt a connection to the universe. But, just for fun, lets see what some scientists have to say.
In The Quantum Hologram And the Nature of Consciousness, Edgar D. Mitchell, Sc.D. (Apollo Astronaut, 6th Man to Walk on the Moon), and Robert Staretz, M.S., explain through their research, the universal union of all that lives on this planet~ the concept that all matter is interconnected.
From their summary, we learn that we are:
Self-organizing – All non living and living matter seems to be the
result of the emergent complexity adapting and evolving in response
to changes in the environment.
Intelligent – The universe utilizes information, processes it and
assigns meaning to it. It seems to evaluate new experiences against
stored information and “chooses” actions based on that evaluation
based on feedback mechanisms.
Creative – All matter in the universe appears to be interconnected and
communicates with itself to continually form more complex systems.
These systems seem to regulate and organize themselves in ways that
are flexible, adaptable and exhibit some form of purposeful behavior.
Interactive – All matter continually interacts with all other matter.
There is no such thing as independent action. Everything is defined in
relationship to everything else.
(I highly recommend reading the article for yourself, especially the end.)
Lately, I’ve been exploring the probability that you or I even exist? If we calculate the occurrence of physical events throughout the history of our earth such as, wars, famines, drought, disease, etc, as well as, the intra-relational conditions of your tribe, ancestry, linage, (what ever brought you to your birth) etc., what is the possibility?
I was intrigued by a TEDx San Francisco talk by Mel Robbins, author of the 5 second rule, (check it out). In her talk, she brings to light that scientist calculate the probability that you exist, today, right now, at about one in 400 trillion, (4×1014). What? That’s a big number. And I am willing to believe that there are more variables out there that suggest that the probability that you exist could be non-existent. Like, Infinity Baby!!! One eternal round.
But, the cool thing is, here we all are, living human beings co-existing, breathing each others air, connected together on this awe-inspiring planet.
From and interview with the Dali Lama:
Question: Who inspires you?
Answer: Everyone I meet.
The Sanskrit translation for yoga is-To Yoke.
Yoga means union, connection or joining. It is used to indicate any form of association with something else. Yoga is both a state of union and group of practices that allow us to unite to all things.
For example, I’ve learned two fundamental principles that yoga teaches:
- We connect the inside of our body to the outside of our body through the breath.
- We connect to a larger, higher nature.
As we develop a conscious connection to something, it allows us to feel and have knowledge of the experience, thing, or person. This is called Awareness. And that my friends, is a beautiful thing, I find the connection of Yoga unlocks the secret of Awareness…
The question: What’s is the secret of Awareness?
My answer: The experience of connection becomes a divine energy, that is a primal element, something that existed from the beginning. Many call this LOVE but that’s for another post. Mostly, when we are aware of our connections, it is a joyful, blissful, fulfilling experience. We are more the same than we are different and at the same time, because of our possibility that we are here, breathing…we are individually magnificent.
Stay tuned (and stay connected).
